Job Title: Sr. Analyst, System Testing I
Position Details:
- Location: 2401 Faraway Drive; Columbia, South Carolina 29223 - Partially Onsite: Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday & Remote: Monday & Friday.
- Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 40 hours/week (Weekends & Off hours as needed based on business need).
The team member may be requested to be onsite 100% as the business need dictates.
- Overtime as needed based on business need.

Day to day:
Provide service for multiple clients, including onsite service where needed. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities. Track quality assurance metrics. Participate in the design phase of projects to ensure that new or modified functions are developed using correct testing methodology. Arrange major activities between the client and IS staff to ensure maximum gain from technical resources. Complete supportive administrative and lead activities such as attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports and developing processes. Perform testing duties which may involve reviewing test data, creating test cases, executing testing, and monitoring/documenting results. Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff.
Team: VS (Validation Service) Claims and Data Analytics Team (We support testing of work efforts/projects for all LOBs):
- Immediate Team – approx. 12 People & Testing Department 69 People.
- We are working on numerous projects related to claims processing, onboarding new plans to services and managed care work.
Duties:
- Provide service for multiple clients.
- Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities.
- Perform quality checks across various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed.
- 40% Perform application testing analysis and lead activities that may include leading the development of test plans, cases, scenarios, and matrices, attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports and developing processes.
- 30% Create test cases, execute testing, and document results. Define and analyze quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status. Lead process improvement initiatives related to testing methodologies and techniques. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve operational workflows.
- 30% Provide service for multiple clients, which may include onsite service where needed. Facilitate and lead meetings with customers to understand and resolve technical issues. Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology OR other job-related degree. or 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.
- Required Experience: 7 years of IT experience to include experience developing test plans and/or test matrices.
- Strong analysis skills.
- Skill in testing data creation and manipulation.
- Thorough understanding of data processing terminology, operations, and architecture utilized in debugging application/environmental problems.
- Skill in negotiation and/or influencing business or technical partners.
- Ability to write complex test cases/scripts.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to document complex problems and assist in their resolution.
- Ability to understand functional connections between applications.
- Ability to utilize test requirements, specifications, diagrams, logic functions, etc.
- Required Software and Tools: Standard office equipment.

Pay Transparency:
- This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $33.65/hour - $44.86/hour.
