Job Title: Specialist, Communications II

Position Details:

  • 2 Openings
  • Contract To Hire
  • Role is Onsite
  • Interview: In person preferred
  • Hours: 8:00 am-5:30 pm. A flexible 8-hour workday. - Possibly some overtime and off-hour shifts, but not regularly.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote blending learning and communication solutions using innovative technology or tools to meet business goals. Write and/or edit all materials to include communications with internal and external audiences (members, clients, prospects and agents/brokers/consultants, internal associates, healthcare providers, and other represented populations). Consults with Corporate Communications to assure adherence to Brand rules and corporate style. Also works with Corporate Communications for the design and layout of materials/publications. May be responsible for the maintenance of information on the division's website/intranet site.
  • 60% Writes internal/external communication materials(correspondence, newsletters, bulletins, manuals, brochures, handouts, articles, sales promotions, training materials, radio/TV, etc.) for the company, subsidiaries, subscribers, etc. that align with corporate and/or line of business marketing goals. Works with Corporate Communications to produce a variety of marketing and advertising materials, select appropriate media and design materials, coordinate revisions, printing and distribution of these materials. Ensures all functional areas and Corporate Communications have reviewed/approved for content/grammar/spelling accuracy and makes revisions. Edits copy, proofs design, and consults with Corporate Communications on the design direction of materials.
  • 25% Works with business partners, colleagues, customers, etc. to identify business needs and may work closely with management to develop high quality proposals. Researches and identifies available reference sources to successfully complete projects. May assist with special events/meetings and promotional efforts. Works with Corporate Communications to ensure that all guidelines are met with respect to proper usage of logos and brand rules.
  • 10% Creates/writes/edits/updates and manages content on the division's internal and/or external websites.
  • 5% Tracks projects and maintains high level of customer service. Ensures appropriate staff and management are informed of project status. 

Required: Web content management system, quality management software, Office 365

Nice To Have: Drupal, CBIC internal applications, PDF software.

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

Required Software and Tools: Microsoft Office.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism, Public Relations, English, Liberal Arts, or other job-related field. 

Required Work Experience: 3 years of communications, marketing or publications experience to include writing communications/advertisement materials.

 

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $20/hour - $32/hour. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met).
